IGI Life under its Window Takaful Operations and Standard Chartered Bank signed a Bancatakaful Distribution agreement under which IGI Life’s takaful products will be distributed using Standard Chartered Bank’s branch network. The signing ceremony was held at Standard Chartered Bank’s head office in Karachi on Thursday, May 11, 2017. Standard Chartered Bank was represented by its Chief Operating Officer (Pakistan) Mr. Shahzad Dada. While IGI Life was represented by its Dy. Chief Executive Officer Mr. Nadeem R. Malik, Head of Window Takaful Operations Dr. Bakht Jamal and Head of Business Development – Bancassurance Ms. Samira Omer. Other senior officials from both the organizations were also present on the occasion.
IGI LIFE celebrates Insurance Day through Blood Donation Drive
IGI Life, one of the leading private sector life insurance companies in Pakistan celebrated the Insurance Day by organizing a voluntary blood donation camp at its Head Office located in Karachi. Each year on 5th April, the company performs a social activity thereby contributing to the society that it benefits from.
One of the distinctive features of IGI Financial Services has been to mark the Insurance day with a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative as the company believes in giving back to the society which it serves. For the past few years, the company performed “Beach Cleaning Activity” to protect and preserve the environment. This year they performed the “Blood Donation Drive” where IGI Life employees donated blood as a preemptive measure to help the deserving. The donation activity was performed in collaboration with Indus Hospital which is a household name for such causes.

IGI Life and Bank of Punjab signed a Bancassurance Distribution Agreement under which IGI Life’s products will be distributed using BOP’s branch network. The signing ceremony was held at Bank of Punjab’s head office in Lahore on Monday, February 06, 2017. Bank of Punjab was represented by its Head of Distribution Mr. Nofel Daud and Product Head Wealth Mr. Muhammad Faheem while IGI Life was represented by its Dy. IGI Life Award Night– Bhurban
IGI Life held its Annual Agency Awards Night at Bhurban on 10th and 11th September, 2016 to recognize its top performers and the outstanding accomplishments of the agency sales force during the year 2015. Dy. CEO Mr. Nadeem Malik was the Chief Guest along with Head of Agency Sales Mr. Akif Zia Malik and Regional Head Mr. Mohsin Abbas, who kept the entire audience enthralled.
The event was attended by more than 125 people along with their spouses. Top performers in various categories were recognized and awarded certificates, trophies, shields and gold, silver and bronze coins in recognition of their extra ordinary business s achievements.
The highlight of the event was a small video made by a young team of new agents from Islamabad Office, which highlighted the importance of insurance and the career growth within IGI Life.
Mr. Nadeem Malik in his speech highlighted the achievements of agency sales team and his vision for taking the company to the next level.
The audience was also addressed by Mr. Syed Hyder Ali – CEO IGI Life via Video message who encouraged the team and set out the objective of making IGI Life amongst the top life insurers in Pakistan.

Participation in Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue on Microinsurance
A multi-stakeholder dialogue on microinsurance was organized by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan in collaboration with GIZ. The agenda was to exchange ideas on existing and potential market development with reference to microinsurance. It was attended by all the key stakeholders including leading insurers, regulators, microfinance institutions as well as representatives of local and international developmental programs. IGI Life was represented by its Dy. Chief Executive Officer Mr. Nadeem Malik and Manager New Initiatives Mr. Khalid Qureshi. Based on our experience, some very valid suggestions were shared with the SECP and the attendants for the development of the microinsurance sector in Pakistan.
